With over 6,400 holiday homes across Spain, the Balearic Islands and the Canaries, Spain-holiday.com offers far more than the average holiday villa. Apart from its glamorous beachside villas and historic city apartments, the company – now one of the most popular for holiday rentals in Spain – also includes castles, caves, mills and former monasteries on its ever-expanding books.

Here’s a selection of properties which still have availability this summer and autumn:

Copy the Camerons in Mallorca

David and Samantha Cameron have been spotted sipping coffee in the pretty Mallorcan town of Pollença this week. Sample the island’s many charms, which range from pretty coves to hilltop chapels, at Can Ferragut (property ref:14083), a four-bedroom villa that’s located between Pollença and the coast. The property is ideal for families or a group of friends and has a private pool, BBQ area and two sun terraces.

If Florida’s a step too far this year, head to Spain’s Miami Platja this autumn and save up to 70% on the high-season price. The pretty resort on the Costa Dorada boasts wide sandy beaches, fragrant pine forests and trees laden with sweet plums. Book an ultra-modern villa (property ref: 9890) with air-conditioning, three bedrooms, and private pool, and enjoy walks through to the beach, horse-riding in the hills or a visit to the nearby fishing village of Cambrils.

Cowboys, film-sets and a simple Andalucian village house

Fiestas, films and even the odd cowboy are all part of daily life in Lucainena, a former mining village in Andalucia. Stay in the village centre at Casa Ruedero (property ref: 9810), an authentic two-bedroom white-washed house overlooking the mountains and bordering the Tabernas Desert – the only one in Europe -yet still just 30 minutes from the coast. The property’s pièce de résistance is its panoramic roof terrace which overlooks the local landscape where some 400 films including Lawrence of Arabia and Indiana Jones have been filmed.

Smuggler’s House in Deia, Mallorca

Es Secret (property ref: 11298), is a beautiful stone house in Deia, Mallorca’s exclusive artists’ enclave, on the picturesque west coast. Just a minute’s walk along a winding path to the sea, the house has a secret cave where smugglers used to hide their loot. It is also where the first silent film in Mallorca was filmed. With four bedrooms (sleeping eight), veranda, terraces with fruit trees and a private pool with sea views, this is the perfect place to unwind. Palma’s old town is within easy reach for a day trip combining some retail therapy with a visit to the new Salvador Dali museum.

Spain-holiday.com’s website also provides detailed area guides, useful maps, detailed articles written by Spanish experts and lively blogs (many with excellent insider tips), plus professionally-filmed HD video footage of a wide range of Spain’s cities and coastal resorts.
