House builder Miller Homes is lending a helping hand to people struggling to get on the property ladder with the support of the FirstBuy scheme.

FirstBuy is now available on the spacious two bedroom and two bathroom apartments, priced from £168,950 at Miller Homes’ development in Scholars Way, Windle. But with the scheme, this means you could pay just £135,160 now.

Kay Halls, Sales Manager, said: “The introduction of FirstBuy on this development opens it up to a new audience and people who may not have previously considered living here.

“Buying with FirstBuy could be the way to make your home owning dreams a reality but we would urge people to enquire immediately to ensure they do not miss out as the funding won’t be around forever.

“Our site in Windle provides the opportunity for people to live in fantastic surroundings, close to open farmland but close to the town centre of St Helens at the same time.

“This is a small development which makes it very appealing. The apartments are very generously sized and built to high specification benefiting from an open plan design, private courtyard parking and lift access to all floors. The apartments are also in small blocks providing a real luxury living environment.”

FirstBuy works with the balance being provided by Miller Homes, and the Government, in the form of an equity loan which is interest free for the first five years and repayable over a 25-year term, or whenever the property is sold, whichever comes first.

The FirstBuy scheme also reduces the amount of deposit which is required and lowers the monthly mortgage repayments at the same time.

If you are a first-time buyer with a household income of less than £60,000 a year you are eligible to apply for FirstBuy. The scheme can also help people who have previously owned properties but are now in a position where they are unable to buy or move without support. This could be as a result of a relationship break-down or growing families looking for a larger home.
