Just as birds flock to the nearby Doxey Marshes nature reserve, so too home buyers are winging their way to Redrow’s Castle View development in Stafford.

The new homes at Castle View have lots to offer, not least their proximity to the open spaces, wetlands, reed beds and pastures of one of Staffordshire’s best bird watching sites.

Within the development too there’s space for families to relax and unwind, including a children’s play area.

Add to this that Stafford train station is only a mile away and the M6 motorway and M6 toll road are easily reached and the development is a commuter’s paradise too.

Pauline Turnbull, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands), said: “Location is a key factor for many people and Castle View has plenty in its favour. The shops and amenities of the town centre are conveniently close, including the mainline train station, but equally residents can walk to an area of natural beauty that’s noted for its birdlife and other wildlife, including otters and wild flowers.”

Managed by Staffordshire Wildlife Trust, over 200 species of birds have been recorded at Doxey Marshes and the reserve is home to over 80 breeding species. Designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest for its nationally important populations of Lapwing, Snipe and Redshank, it also attracts many rare birds every year, including the first ever Cattle Egret and River Warbler to be recorded in the Midlands region.

Home buyers choosing to ‘nest’ at Castle View will currently find a choice of four-bedroom detached family homes from £209,995 to £314,995. There are still some three-bedroom designs to be made available and Redrow will consider ‘early bird’ reservations on these, guaranteeing first refusal when they are released for sale.

Homes are from Redrow’s popular New Heritage Collection with traditional looking Arts & Crafts influenced exteriors and bright, modern, family-friendly interiors. They all boast kitchens that are stylish, practical and well-equipped, with integrated top brand name appliances such as oven, fridge freezer and microwave included as standard and tall cabinets and extra wide drawers which offer plenty of storage. Bathrooms and en-suites enjoy quality fixtures and fittings, with a tile range that’s exclusive to Redrow.

All of the homes can be bought with a 95% mortgage under the Government-backed NewBuy initiative or those with an existing property to sell may be able to part-exchange their way to a bigger, better, brand new home.
