The Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora has been voted the best ‘Overseas Leisure Hotel: Australasia & The South Pacific’ at the Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Travel Awards this year, whilst the Hilton Bora Bora Nui Resort & Spa and the InterContinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa were awarded eighth and ninth places respectively.

With three hotels in the top ten for the category, and The Four Seasons taking 55th position in the overall Condé Nast ‘Word’s Top 100 List’, Bora Bora is proving itself to be a prime luxury holiday destination with high standards of both service and accommodation offered.

Bora Bora is one of the Society Archipelago islands that make up Tahiti and her islands at the heart of the Pacific Ocean. Surrounded by coral reef with remnants of two volcanoes at its centre, the island’s natural beauty attracts families and couples alike to its beautiful lagoons.

Melinda Stevens, Condé Nast Traveller’s new editor presented the awards at the British Museum on 6th September 2012. The annual Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Awards mark a celebration of the travel industry showcasing the best it has to offer and are viewed as a trustworthy judge of excellence.

The Four Seasons, overlooking a turquoise lagoon surrounded by sand-fringed islets, is a luxurious retreat offering a range of facilities, including an infinity pool, outdoor fitness area, holistic spa and numerous accommodation options including over-water bungalows with their own plunge pools. It’s a great location for watersports on the sparkling waters including kayaking and paddle boating or scuba diving to visit the tropical fish.

Offering an ideal setting for romance, guests can opt for a private dinner on the beach and enjoy delicious local specialities whilst watching the sun go down. For family getaways, the Tamarii children’s club offers indoor and outdoor play areas, whilst ‘Chill Island’ has its own stretch of beach and a weekly activity schedule for young adults.

The Hilton Bora Bora Nui Resort & Spa offers villas and suites either set over the water, or nestled on the hillside offering panoramic views over the lagoon and tropical landscape. The hotel also offers guests access to its exclusive private islet, Motu Tapu and the Hilton Spa.

The Intercontinental Bora Bora Resort and Thalasso Spa features over 80 overwater bungalows and the stylish Le Sands bar and restaurant located on the hotels own private white sand beach. The 4,000 square metre Deep Ocean Spa offers a range of signature treatments, including thalassotherapy, for ultimate relaxation amongst the Polynesian scenery. As well as being the first thalassotherapy centre to be built in the South Pacific, the spa is the only establishment in the world to use water drawn from the Pacific Ocean at depths of over 900 metres, taking advantage of the rich minerals to be found in deep sea water.
