Househunters struggling to purchase their first property are being offered an affordable solution by Morris Homes at its popular Tamworth development.

According to a recent report, raising a deposit remains the single biggest concern for first-time buyers looking to get onto the property ladder, but Morris can remove this worry at its Castle Gate site on Marlborough Way.

The Government-led NewBuy scheme allows first-time buyers to apply for a 95 per cent mortgage on selected new build properties at the development, offering an affordable route into home ownership by significantly lowering the deposit needed.

Cindy Vials, regional sales director at Morris, said: “First-time buyers face the hurdle of saving for large deposits, at the same time as covering daily expenses, which can delay the move onto the property ladder.

“The NewBuy scheme makes saving for a deposit and purchasing a home at Castle Gate much easier, speeding up the process significantly.”

Castle Gate is located within walking distance of essential amenities including a Morrisons supermarket, and offers easy access to Tamworth city centre and the motorway network for commuting into Birmingham.

Cindy added: “The three-bedroom properties at Castle Gate are ideal for people looking to buy their first property. The new build homes offer long-term savings because they are built to higher energy efficient standards and we urge househunters to visit the sales office to secure a quality first property.

Morris currently has a selection of three-bedroom properties available at Castle Gate with the NewBuy scheme, where prices start at £179,750.

For more information on the schemes and homes available at Castle Gate visit the sales office at Marlborough Way, Tamworth, B77 2TU (open daily between 10.30am and 5.30pm), or visit morrishomes.co.uk.
