Elan Homes acquires development site in Crewe

Developer Elan Homes has given its commitment to building new homes in Crewe following the acquisition of a development site in the town.

Elan has taken over the former Chelford Homes site in Dane Bank, known as The Maples. Work on the development stalled after Chelford went into administration, but as the new owners of the site, Elan has pledged to complete the development to offer high quality family homes.

Richard Dean, land acquisition director for Elan Homes in the North, says: “We’re constantly looking for land with development potential and when The Maples became available we decided it was an opportunity for us to build on our success in Cheshire. We’re already selling homes at several locations across the county, including Chester city centre, Mickle Trafford, Nantwich and Cranage and are looking forward to starting building work in Crewe shortly.”

The Maples is an exclusive development of just nine family homes arranged in a cul-de-sac. The four and five-bedroom homes are due to be released for sale in early 2013.
