Merseyside home owners don’t have to wait until they’ve sold their current property before buying somewhere new, they can move onwards and upwards with part exchange from Elan Homes.

Available at Thornton Cross in Water Street, Thornton, part exchange could enable buyers to stave off the January blues by giving them something to look forward to during the gloomy winter days and nights.

Andrew Robertson, senior sales manager for Elan Homes in the North, explains: “With the Christmas decorations now packed away people may think their home looks dull and be considering giving it a makeover. Our message to them is ditch the DIY and move to a brand new home. They could even trade in their current property towards the cost of a new one thanks to part exchange. It’s great news for homeowners, particularly when the Halifax is reporting that 53% of people think the next 12 months will be a good time to buy but only 13% say it will be a good time to sell.”

Under part exchange Elan will arrange for the customer’s home to be valued by two local agents before making an offer on that property to help facilitate a move. The transaction could be complete in as little as 28 days with no hidden costs or hold ups. The developer will pay for the survey and the agent’s fees and customers will even be able to stay in their current property until the new one is ready.

Located in an established residential area, Thornton Cross is a select development of just 13 detached family homes arranged in a cul-de-sac. Four-bedroom properties in a choice of styles are currently priced from £259,995.

“Our Thornton Cross development is located in an area where people aspire to live. Visitors to the show home love the look our interior designers have created and are impressed by the specification, but many have homes of their own to sell,” Andrew added.

“Part exchange could be the key that helps them to move onwards and upwards without some of the stresses that can be associated with moving. Lynne Boothroyd our sales consultant at Thornton Cross has a wealth of experience in the industry and will guide customers through the processing of buying a home with part exchange to make it as simple as possible.”

The homes are close to the shops and restaurants of Crosby and also benefits from having miles of sandy beaches nearby while still being only a short journey away from Liverpool city centre. Plus, with easy access to the motorway network, the development offers a good base for commuters.

For more information about the homes available visit Thornton Cross, open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5pm, or see elan-homes.co.uk.
