Two of Taylor Wimpey North West’s developments have been named in the top five most successful FirstBuy developments by Merseyside and Cheshire affordable homes specialist HomesHub.
Reinforcing the popularity of the leading local homebuilder’s scheme in the area, Watermill Gardens in Bromborough was labelled the second best performing development for FirstBuy while Great Hall Park in Ellesmere Port came fifth.
The scheme gives first time buyers who are struggling to get on the property ladder a helping hand as only a five per cent deposit is required, helping many people flee the rental rut.

FirstBuy works through a joint loan of 20 per cent from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and Taylor Wimpey, which means that eligible purchasers only need to pay a five per cent deposit and obtain a 75 per cent loan-to-value mortgage. The loan is repayable at the end of the mortgage term or when the property is sold. To be eligible, purchasers must be first time buyers and the total household earning should be less than £60,000.
Taylor Wimpey is currently selling a variety of homes at Great Hall Park, with prices starting from £83,995 for a two bedroom apartment (or from as little as £67,196 through FirstBuy), or at Watermill Gardens a two bedroom mid terrace is priced from £128,995 (or from as little as £103,196 through FirstBuy).
