Commuting from Barton won’t take its toll on your finances
Major savings in the cost of living are driving people across the Humber Bridge to Barton.
Homebuyers have woken up to the advantages of moving south of the river crossing following a reduction in the bridge tolls last year. According to home.co.uk the average asking price for a three-bedroom property in Brough is £254,167, compared with £124,950 for a similar sized home at Fox’s Fold.
“The difference in price could pay for more than 86,000 trips across the bridge at the current rate,” Patsy added.
“Moving from an older property to a brand new home at Fox’s Fold could also bring further savings thanks to a host of energy efficient measures including double glazing and central heating which should help reduce utility bills.”
