A new breed of accommodation for ‘Generation Rent’

A landmark residential development, Pioneer Point, has been launched in East London, offering ‘generation rent’ a flexible range of short and long term apartment options at a fraction of the cost of prices in other London locations. This announcement comes as latest Census data reveals that owner occupation is in decline for the first time in 60 years and that homeowners are now the minority in London for the first time since the ‘Right to Buy’ revolution of the 1980s.

Pioneer Point, by Go Native, will allow Londoners caught up in the rental cycle to live in stylish fully furnished apartments, just fifteen minutes by train to London Liverpool Street. From just £230 per week for a one bedroom apartment and £295 for a two bedroom apartment, residents at Pioneer Point can enjoy the perks of a ready made apartment with brand new appliances, contemporary furnishings and floor to ceiling windows which offer phenomenal views across the capital.

Residents will also be given a utilities package, including high speed wireless broadband, electricity, water, TV license and council tax, meaning renters at Pioneer Point only have one fixed cost to cover each month, a much easier way of managing finances in a tough economic climate. By purchasing utilities in bulk, discounted costs will be passed onto renters too.

Guy Nixon, founder and CEO, Go Native, comments: “The latest census has revealed the extent of the problem that renters are facing when it comes to finding a home. With a growing number of people facing the prospect of renting their whole lives, there is a real demand for flexible housing solutions that are spacious, well connected, of high quality, yet still financially manageable – and it is difficult to find such value for money in central London.

“Looking to Ilford, just 15 minutes by train to Liverpool Street station, means Londoners can have the best of both worlds; a high specification home at a reasonable cost, combined with the connectivity that Ilford’s excellent transport links provide. In comparison to rental costs in other popular areas of London, Pioneer Point offers exceptional value for money.”

Pioneer Point is an iconic mixed-use scheme, providing 159 high specification one and two bedroom fully furnished apartments. As the tallest development in the area, Pioneer Point also offers residents extensive views across the capital, including landmarks such as the Olympic Park, Canary Wharf and the Square Mile.

There are a host of facilities set to be opened on site, including a gym and restaurant. Alternatively residents can enjoy the cosmopolitan high street with a range of clothing retailers, Debenhams department store, eateries and a large Sainsbury’s supermarket. Security is also a bonus, with security card/fob entry, video phone systems to all apartments, a secure underground car park and 24-hour concierge desk.

The standout development is also extremely well connected, just minutes from Ilford mainline railway station, which has regular train services to Stratford (10 minutes), London Liverpool Street (15 minutes), with easy connections to Canary Wharf (20 minutes) and Oxford Street (30 minutes).

Long term leases start from £230 per week while short stays start from £60 per night.
