Housebuilder Barratt North East has launched a new phase of homes at its flagship Riverside Crescent scheme on the south bank of the Tyne at Blaydon.

The development enjoys a superb setting with views over the river and there are schools, shops and leisure amenities on the doorstep, plus easy commuting links to Newcastle, Gateshead and the A1.

The Green at Riverside Crescent will comprise just 25 homes overlooking a tree-lined green at the heart of the development, which is growing into a real community with more than 90 homes already occupied.

There will be eight individual three and four bedroom house styles, all with bespoke exterior elevations.

Interior features include floor-to-ceiling “light pods”, which double the amount of window space compared to patio doors, and redesigned kitchens with integrated dining and family areas.

Prices start from £142,125 for a three bedroom ‘Barwick’ home, which has an open-plan living and dining room, a good-sized kitchen and master bedroom with en suite.

The new homes are around 40 per cent more energy efficient than houses built just ten years ago and buyers also benefit from an exclusive five-year guarantee on fixtures and fittings.

Barratt North East Sales Director Fenton Hewitt said: “Riverside Crescent is popular with buyers and we’re expecting more interest with the launch of this new phase.

“We’re building a good selection of homes which should appeal to families and professionals and we are taking reservations now.

“The Government-backed NewBuy mortgage scheme is available, which means people only need a five per cent deposit, and we can link it to our own part exchange service for those with a property to sell.”

Riverside Crescent is open daily from 10.00am to 5.00pm (Mondays 11.00am to 6.00pm). For more information, visit barratthomes.co.uk.
