With 28 per cent of first time buyers who bought with Taylor Wimpey North West in 2012 choosing to purchase with the acclaimed FirstBuy scheme, new house hunters in the region will be delighted to hear that the incentive will continue until March 2014.

Lynne Vogel, regional sales manager for Taylor Wimpey North West, said: “FirstBuy has been an invaluable tool for several of our first time buyers, so we’re delighted that the scheme will extend until next year. It allows those with a small deposit to purchase their dream new home from us with relative financial ease.”

Through FirstBuy, purchasers can own 100 per cent of their new home from Taylor Wimpey North West after initially paying just 80 per cent of the full price, which includes a small five per cent deposit.

The remaining 20 per cent is made up of a joint loan from Taylor Wimpey and the Government’s Homes and Communities Agency (HCA). The loan is repayable at the end of the 25-year mortgage term or when the property is sold. To be eligible for FirstBuy, customers must be first-time buyers with a household income of under £60,000.

The scheme is now available at the company’s Watermill Gardens development in Bromborough, Great Hall Park in Ellesmere Port, Cunningham Grange in St Helens, Speakman Gardens in Prescot, Millers Brow in Blackley and Meadows View in Warton.

Across the developments there are a range of homes which offer FirstBuy, including one and two bedroom apartments, three and four bedroom houses. Prices start from £74,995 (or from as little as £59,996 with FirstBuy).
