Quick car for ‘Quick Mick’ the skiing champion

Britain’s Number One Downhill Skier, Finlay Mickel, nicknamed ‘Quick Mick’, has just taken delivery of an equally quick 143 mph Subaru Impreza WRX 2.5 five-door.

Ranked 23rd in the world for downhill skiing and placed 11th in last year’s World Championships, the 28 year-old from Edinburgh is now training for next February’s Skiing World Championships in Are, Sweden.

He said: “I’m using the Impreza to travel to training camps around Scotland throughout the summer. It makes an ideal car for transporting my bike as I cycle a lot to keep fit at this time of year.

“Being an all-wheel drive car, it also gives me the confidence to reach snow-bound locations and the performance also comes in useful as you can imagine.”

Finlay – who is also a ‘Super G’ champion – collected the car from Michael Noble, Dealer Principal of long-established Scottish Subaru dealer, AF Noble and Son of Penicuik, Midlothian.
