Subaru sponsor Arena Polo International

25th February 2009 Print
Subaru (UK) Limited is the official sponsor of the first England v USA International arena polo test match at the All England Polo Club, Hickstead on Saturday, February 28.

This sponsorship deal is in line with Subaru’s aims to raise the brand’s profile within the equestrian and rural communities.

As only the second International test match played at Hickstead, or indeed in the UK, this fast and thrilling game, which is scheduled for Saturday, February 28, will be played on the 100-metre by 50-metre, enclosed all-weather pitch so that the ever growing number of spectators can get closer to the action.

Attracting the sport’s biggest stars, the game will include England’s Nacho Gonzalez and the USA’s Charlie Muldoon, who will be playing at 20-goal standard – a very high rating for test matches.

Daisy Bunn, Director of The All England Polo Club – Hickstead, said: “We are pleased to be associated with Subaru, a brand synonymous with quality engineering and reliability and appreciate their support in this fast-growing sport.”

Subaru’s range of all-wheel drive country vehicles has a great standing in the country and farming sector, with a reputation for reliable and durable vehicles, which fits the profile of Hickstead completely.

John Fossey, Brand Director, Subaru (UK) Limited, said: “All England Polo Club, Hickstead is committed to delivering the very best in equestrian sport, and will bring together our two brands perfectly.”
