Home-hunters looking to step on – or up – the property ladder can take advantage of an incredible opportunity to secure a new home for less at one of Taylor Wimpey’s stunning developments in Bedfordshire or Hertfordshire.

The new Government Help to Buy equity loan scheme enables first-time buyers and existing homeowners to purchase new Taylor Wimpey homes for 80% of their full price, including a 5% deposit – and homebuyers can find out all they need to know by attending a Help to Buy Information Event at the Mercure Letchworth Hall Hotel in Letchworth Garden City on Saturday 11th May from 11am to 4pm.

Details of new homes currently on sale at Saxon Fields in Biggleswade, Mirage in Welwyn Garden City and Leaside Rise in Ware will be available at the event, plus more information about the new properties coming soon at Beauchamp Mill in Stotfold.

The Help to Buy equity loan scheme involves a Government loan of 20% and is available on new-build properties up to the value of £600,000. There is no salary cap for purchasers using the scheme.

Under Help to Buy, for example, a stunning two-bedroom ‘Wayland’ apartment at Saxon Fields can be secured for an 80% shared equity price of just £111,960 (full price £139,950) including a 5% deposit as low as £6,998.

Alternatively, the three-bedroom ‘Howard’ townhouse at Mirage is available under Help to Buy for an 80% shared equity price of just £231,960 (full price £289,950) including a deposit of as little as £14,498.

The NewBuy initiative, meanwhile, gives credit-worthy purchasers in a variety of circumstances the chance to access their ideal Taylor Wimpey home with a 95% mortgage.
