Subaru dealer participates in Houghton fun-run

As title sponsors of The Subaru Houghton International, Subaru (UK) Ltd will not only be cheering on their favourite riders at this year’s event, but also one of their own dealers.

Participating in the 3-mile fun-run around the cross country course, Richard Dolman of Hylton Gott will be hoping to raise as much money as possible for Houghton’s nominated charity, the Anthony Nolan trust, on Sunday 24 May.

The aim of the Anthony Nolan Trust is to connect people whose immune systems need a boost with other people willing to share a little of theirs, matching patients with donors. To treat leukaemia, intensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy are used to eradicate the disease. The intensity of these treatments, known as conditioning, results in the weakening of a patient’s immune system. The transplant provides the patient’s body with healthy cells capable of regenerating the immune system.
