With more than 100 homes sold since the launch of East City Point, in the heart of Canning Town E16, the release of the latest phase of new homes has just been moved forward by Countryside Properties to keep pace with demand. ‘Centrum Apartments’ is a stunning collection of apartments, penthouses and the spectacular überhaus; large duplexes with generous outside space including terraces of up to 1,130 sq ft (105 sq m). All the homes are available with Help to Buy meaning buyers need only pay for just 80% of the purchase price and only 5% is required for a deposit.

At the forefront of Canning Town’s urban renewal, East City Point is a RIBA Design Award winning development which, once complete, will provide 649 new homes plus a new primary school. Centrum Apartments is the latest phase to be released and comprises 35 new homes for sale in a five storey building. Currently available are one, two and three bedroom apartments, penthouses and überhaus duplexes priced from £185,000 to £275,000.

Ian Hepworth, Sales and Marketing Director for Countryside Properties, commented: “The regeneration of Canning Town is moving forward at a great pace; it is a highly convenient and accessible part of London that remains great value for money. The speed of our sales since launch shows that demand is high and it is likely to be heightened further by the Government’s Help to Buy scheme. All the homes at Centrum are now available through the scheme with just a 5% deposit and more affordable mortgage payments.”

These stylishly designed homes are finished to a superb specification and come fully fitted with contemporary kitchens, bathrooms and flooring throughout. They also boast impressive green credentials with every new home being heated by E.ON’s District Heating System which is highly energy efficient. The system, which is located in the Energy Centre, provides instantaneous hot water and is reducing carbon emissions by around 25% compared to traditional gas heating and E.ON expects there to be cost savings of around 20% compared to regular gas heating.

Well planned interiors feature high gloss fitted kitchen units teamed with laminate worktops and matching upstands. A full range of integrated appliances include stainless steel single electric oven, electric ceramic hob with glass splashback and telescopic extractor hood, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer dryer. A single bowl sink with chrome mixer tap, pelmet lighting to the wall units, ceiling, downlighters and ceramic floor tiles complete the kitchen.

Canning Town has always had a strong sense of community and is fast becoming a vibrant and popular place to live. Centrum is within easy reach of the town centre, which offers a wide range of
shops, bars and restaurants.

Ongoing investment and development in and around Canning Town and neighbouring Custom House is providing fantastic new amenities such as shops, offices, and a health centre while Rathbone Market is being rejuvenated around a brand new market square. Work has commenced on the new Keir Hardie Primary school which will be completed in June 2014 in time for the start of the new school year in September.

The Jubilee Line, DLR and buses call at nearby Canning Town station (10 minute walk) and allow travel to Canary Wharf in just five minutes and Central London in 15 minutes. The new DLR extension links to Stratford International Station for local services, as well as Eurostar services to Paris, Brussels and beyond. London City Airport is also nearby with direct connections to many UK and European destinations. There is huge ongoing investment to further improve transport links including a Crossrail station at nearby Custom House which is now on site and will be operational in 2017.

Road connections are also good with the adjoining A13 leading directly out of London to the M25, 12 miles east of Canning Town. The M11 is approximately six miles to the north of Canning Town via the A13/A406.
