Home-hunters looking for their dream home in a leafy location will need to hurry to secure their place at Taylor Wimpey’s Copt Oak Gardens development in Leicestershire, where the leading housebuilder is preserving scores of beautiful mature trees.

The new homes development, in the peaceful village of Narborough, contains a tranquil wooded area of about 100 trees – including lime, pine, ash, walnut, beech, yew, poplar, weeping willow and birch.

This will be complemented by additional planting of these species plus hornbeam, sweet chestnut, bird cherry, English oak and white beam, while a path is also being created through the wood for the new residents to access and enjoy this idyllic spot.

Copt Oak Gardens will also include two areas of meadowland bordered by hedgerows and about 50 more mature trees which will be retained as public open spaces, with one to include an equipped children’s play area.

Mark Dinsdale, Senior Design & Planning Executive for Taylor Wimpey East Midlands, says: “As a responsible housebuilder, we are committed to creating new homes developments which both preserve and enhance the local environment, and Copt Oak Gardens is a perfect example of this.

“The wooded area at the development had previously been sadly neglected but, working in partnership with Blaby District Council with advice from Leicestershire County Council’s arboricultural officer, we’ve put together a scheme which will ensure the beautiful mature trees at the site will be able to thrive in the future under the ownership and maintenance of the district council.

“Along with improvements to the hedgerows and the thinning and diversification of flora in the woodland area, we also anticipate that our conservation work will create a haven for wildlife, including birds, insects and bats – as well as a peaceful retreat for the new residents and the wider community to enjoy.”

There’s a stunning selection of three, four and five-bedroom houses available to reserve now at Copt Oak Gardens, with prices starting from as little as £289,995.

The Government’s new Help to Buy shared equity scheme is available now at the development, enabling first-time buyers and those looking to move home to purchase their new property for 80% of its full price, including a 5% deposit.

The NewBuy initiative, meanwhile, gives credit-worthy purchasers in a variety of circumstances the chance to access their ideal home with a 95% mortgage.

Properties at Copt Oak Gardens have been carefully designed using materials which reflect the traditional architecture of this delightful corner of rural Leicestershire.

Within easy reach of the new homes is the bustling village centre of Narborough, which boasts pubs, restaurants, takeaways, two supermarkets, a bakery, primary schools, two doctors’ surgeries, banks, a chemist, a post office and a private gym.

What’s more, the vibrant city centre of Leicester is just six miles from Copt Oak Gardens, offering even wider leisure, shopping and entertainment opportunities.

The village enjoys a convenient location near the M1 and M69 motorways, making the new homes perfect for commuters travelling to Leicester, Coventry or further afield. Narborough railway station provides direct services to Leicester within 10 minutes and Birmingham New Street in less than an hour.
