Miller saves the best until last at Lakeside

Househunters in Leicestershire are being offered one last chance to purchase at one of the county’s most popular developments from Miller Homes East Midlands.
With a host of sales since the start of the year, just one property now remains at the Lakeside Country Park development in Hamilton.
Priced at £315,000, the four-bedroom Derwent has a prime location over looking open fields.
The spacious family home features three reception rooms, en-suites in both the master and second bedrooms and a double garage. Other notable attributes include a welcoming hallway, separate utility area and a feature bay window in the dining room.
Based on current trends, Julia Portington, sales manager for Miller Homes in the East Midlands, believes that the Derwent will not be around for long:
“Lakeside Country Park is a classic example of the buzz that’s returned to the property market. Buyers love its mix of property types, established feel and convenient location, just a short drive from the centre of Leicester.
“Given that we’re now also able to offer the newly announced Help to Buy scheme to make the buying process even more affordable and flexible is a huge advantage. It really is the last chance to buy at Lakeside Country Park.”
Unveiled as part of the 2013 Budget, Help to Buy offers assistance for buyers who only have a small deposit of around 5%. A 20% equity loan is provided from the Government for those who meet the qualifying criteria, meaning buyers only need to secure up to a 75% mortgage from a bank or building society.
Potential buyers with a property to sell also have the option of using Home Exchange when purchasing the Derwent. Those meeting the qualifying criteria can sell their current home to Miller, based on independent valuations. Miller will then take responsibility for getting the house on the market, including all estate agent and advertising fees, freeing the buyer up to concentrate on the move to their new home.
