While the number of people renting homes in London continues to rise, renters are becoming increasingly savvy when it comes to the quality of the homes they live in and the services offered by their landlords. As the industry calls for more regulation of the private rental sector in order to protect tenants rights, Genesis has launched its new private rental product in order to offer tenants a ‘better way to rent’, guaranteeing a dependable standard of accommodation and service.

Just as a particular hotel brand represents a certain level of quality, so the Genesis rental service promises new homes, which are maintained to the highest standards by a reputable professional landlord. The first homes available in Genesis’ private rental portfolio are at the flagship Stratford Halo development overlooking the Olympic Park, which offers first class amenities and outstanding transport connections.

The Stratford Halo development comprises a total of 704 new homes across five buildings, as well as retail, commercial and leisure space and workspace studios. Of the rental properties available, there are a range of one, two and three bedroom apartments, many of which benefit from views towards the Olympic stadium, Canary Wharf and beyond to the City of London skyline. The development includes a tower that rises to over 132 metres and is lit at night time in a fusion of colours, creating a prominent local landmark.

The homes are designed to maximise space and usability, each with a spacious open plan living area. Interiors are stylish and finished with a high quality specification, including sleek kitchens complete with Bosch and Indesit integrated appliances, and engineered wood flooring and carpets. Residents also benefit from high speed Hyperoptic broadband and lower energy costs thanks to the Olympic District Heating System. The development is set in a peaceful riverside location, surrounded by landscaped communal gardens, while within the building itself there are three sky gardens for residents to use.

The properties also come with a menu of additional features that are not typical of most private rental homes, such as a dedicated property manager and 24-hour concierge service. For an additional cost, tenants can also access a range of services on hand including apartment cleaning services, dry cleaning and short-term furniture rental.

Renting from a large professional landlord will give tenants additional peace of mind, for example Genesis is able to guarantee longer tenancies meaning more stability and security for the customer. Tenancies of up to five years are available, allowing residents to really feel at home and they can even personalise or redecorate their homes if they wish. Genesis is also committed to ensuring all fees are transparent and fair.
