Househunters looking for a new-build property in Armitage will be able to see the completed houses at Walton Homes’ exclusive Squires Gate development for the first time next weekend.

Currently undergoing the finishing touches, the two large family homes will be unveiled to the public for the first time on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th June at a special part-exchange open weekend.

Located on New Road, the two properties are both five bedroom individually designed detached houses that benefit from a turfed rear garden and double garage. The Boldmere property has three ground floor reception rooms – including an open-plan kitchen and living area, along with a second, larger living room and separate dining room – and three of the five bedrooms boast an en-suite. The master bedroom in both houses also has a dedicated dressing room.

Both houses are available to purchase under Walton Homes’ part exchange scheme, whereby the local housebuilder accepts the purchaser’s current property as part-payment for a new home at Squires Gate. Walton Homes will obtain two independent valuations of the purchaser’s existing property, gaining a fair representation of the property’s value. A formal offer is then made and, upon acceptance by the homeowner, a solicitor is instructed to complete the sale. An agreed date is then set for completion and the new purchaser is free to move into their new home.

Helen Rollason, sales manager at Walton Homes said: “Squires Gate offers a luxurious top-end product that really stands out against other new homes in Armitage. These houses are the only two properties of their kind in Walton Home’s current portfolio and, since construction began on the site, we have had many people visiting the development wanting to find out more about the new properties.

“This is the first time that people will be able to walk around the two houses and get a real feel of what they offer. During the part-exchange weekend, the sales team will be on hand to answer any questions househunters may have regarding the scheme. It offers a great opportunity for those who are struggling to sell their existing property, allowing them to move into their new home much quicker than expected. With only two houses available at Squires Gate, we’re not expecting them to stay on the market for long!”

Walton Homes has a further two sites in Armitage, Appledore and Newington Place, both of which are also located on New Road. All the houses at Appledore have now been sold and the properties at Newington Place are currently under construction, with the first homes due to be build complete in the next few weeks.

Helen said: “Armitage is a quintessential rural town with a genuine and friendly community in a beautiful countryside setting. It is a place that I would love to live myself and, as such, it is somewhere that we are committed to building high quality new homes that are in keeping with the local area.”

Nestled within the picturesque Staffordshire countryside on the south side of the Trent and Mersey Canal, Armitage lies between Lichfield and Rugeley. Offering a wide selection of local amenities, Armitage makes for a popular choice for anyone looking for an idyllic village location. The development is also within easy commuter distance from Birmingham city centre via the A38 and is within ten minutes’ drive from Rugeley Train Station.

The houses at Squires Gate are priced from £425,000 for The Boldmere house and £427,500 for The Ridware property.

Those wishing to find out more about the new homes at Squires Gate can visit the Newington Place marketing suite, which will be open from 11am to 5pm Thursday to Monday, inclusive of the weekends. For more information, visit waltonhomes.co.uk.
