Life on the level with Bellway Homes

As The Drumlins by Bellway Homes approaches sell-out status, the award winning housebuilder has ensured it’s an exciting race to the finish by releasing one of the UK’s most sought homes – the much loved bungalow.

Located off Johnstone Road in the North Lanarkshire village of Gartcosh, The Drumlins offers an inspiring collection of three and four-bedroom semi-detached and detached family properties. The latest addition, an exclusive three-bedroom detached Inchyra bungalow is one of only a limited few that Bellway has built north of the border.

The level of interest already shown towards the Inchyra is very much in keeping with the findings of a recent UK-wide survey, which highlights that 30% of the nation are longing to live in bungalow.

Fraser Conn, Sales and Marketing Director at Bellway Homes, says: “The Inchyra is a superb family home on one level. Viewers of this type of property never fail to be impressed by the space available.

“It hasn’t been a house type we’ve built in recent years, but we’re testing the water at The Drumlins. And given the response to the Inchyra, the bungalow could be back on the drawing board for several of our new developments in the near future.”

The findings of the recent survey vary little from previous research on the bungalow, which shows time and again this style of property remains the home most would choose. According to the report, the bungalow also seems to hold its price given the level of demand against limited supply.

The Inchyra (Plot 15) comes with a well-planned lounge leading into the adjoining dining room, contemporary fully fitted kitchen complete with stainless steel oven, hob and cooker hood, master-bedroom with en-suite and a integral single garage. The Inchyra is priced from only £209,995.

Bellway Homes has a choice of incentives available on the remaining properties at The Drumlins, including Part Exchange, 5% Deposit Paid, Express Mover and MI New Home.

MI New Home is a 95% mortgage scheme implemented by the house building industry and supported by the Scottish Government, as well as a number of lenders. This incentive aims to help both first time buyers and homeowners with between a 5% and 10% deposit secure a new home on properties up to the value of £250,000.

Gartcosh benefits from a peaceful setting with great access to larger surrounding towns and excellent links to the M73 and M74. Glasgow is just 10 miles away, with Gartcosh railway station offering a direct rail service into the city centre in less than 20 minutes.

The village offers a wealth of facilities, from playgroups and dance classes at the church hall to its own primary school, local shops and convenience stores. Nearby Coatbridge also offers further amenities including the Faraday Retail Park and Showcase Cinema.

Glasgow Fort Shopping Centre, with over 70 leading high street retailers, is just a few miles from The Drumlins, as is the Iain Nicolson Recreation Centre and Drumpellier Country Park.
