A leading housebuilder in the region is holding an open weekend where homebuyers can get expert advice on making their next move on the property ladder.

The ‘Home Change’ part exchange advice weekend will take place at Persimmon Homes’ Potters Way development on Wrecclesham Road in Farnham on 22 and 23 June.

An intimate development of just twenty three-bedroom homes, Potters Way is perfect for families and downsizers alike offering the best of both worlds with all the benefits of small town living whilst being in close proximity to London for commuters.

Persimmon Homes Southern sales and marketing director, Tracey Lee, explains how the Home Change advice weekend can help buyers learn about the schemes available to make their next home move even easier.

She said: “Our experience in the current housing market is that people are keen to move but are concerned at the length of time it could take to sell their existing property. Home Change is an excellent scheme that can help buyers to make their move more quickly.”

Under the scheme Persimmon’s sales advisors take the hassle out of selling the buyer’s existing property leaving them free to concentrate on moving into their new home. They will arrange valuations, agree a price and then market the property. There are no estate agent fees or headaches - everything is taken care of.

Customers have complete control over the price of their existing property under the Home Change scheme as the price is agreed to ensure they can move into their new property.

The new Government-backed Help to Buy Scheme is also available in conjunction with Home Change where customers are able to secure their new home with only a five per cent deposit. This is then combined with an equity loan from the Government which is interest free for the first five years, equating to 20 per cent of the property’s value. A mortgage is then secured on the remaining 75 per cent meaning lower mortgage repayments.

Tracey adds: “Potters Way is already proving popular with buyers. The properties have been carefully designed to complement the popular market town of Farnham and each house type has been named after a famous local potter to reflect their significance in the area.

“Combining stylish design with a convenient location, the development is ideally situated for commuting, local schools and shopping.

“Excellent road links mean easy access to the surrounding areas via the A31 and with Farnham rail station close by, London’s Waterloo station can be reached in under an hour. With a variety of different property styles to choose from, there is sure to be something to suit everyone.

“Buyers reserving at this stage of the development are enjoying the benefits of buying off plan. Not least, the opportunity to choose their preferred property and plot within the development. Buying early also offers buyers the added luxury of personalising their home and putting their own individual mark on the property.”

The show home at Potters Way is due to open in August. For further information visit the marketing suite on Wrecclesham Road in Farnham from Thursday to Monday 10am to 5pm, or visit persimmonhomes.com.
