Monarch Airlines gears up for busiest summer ever

Monarch, the scheduled leisure airline, is gearing up for its busiest summer get-away ever, carrying more than 1.4 million customers to and from their chosen holiday destinations across Europe, the Mediterranean, Egypt and the Canary Islands during the school summer holidays.

Between 20 July and 5 September, Monarch will be flying holidaymakers, ready for some summer sun, on one of the 112 routes from its six UK airports of Birmingham, East Midlands, Leeds Bradford, London Gatwick, London Luton and Manchester.

Top of the list of the most popular destinations this year is Palma (Majorca), closely followed by Malaga (Spain) and Faro (Portugal).

Kevin George, Monarch Airlines’ Managing Director commented: “We are delighted to be flying a record number of passengers on what, for many, will be their annual fortnight in the sun.
