Unprecedented demand for new homes in Cheshire village

1st August 2013 Print

Demand for new homes in Tarvin is “exceeding expectations” says leading homebuilder Taylor Wimpey, which recently launched its brand new Saxon Heath development in the sought after Cheshire village.

Regional sales manager for Taylor Wimpey North West, David Hnyda, comments: “We are thrilled that our new homes have been so well received in Tarvin. The demand from local house hunters for new homes in the area is exceeding expectations – we’ve already taken reservations on several of the homes that are now available off-plan. The number of potential buyers through the doors has been staggering for the first month and the phones are continuing to ring. Tarvin is such a beautiful place to live; we shouldn’t be surprised that Saxon Heath has been a success story at this early stage.”

When complete, Saxon Heath will comprise 127 three, four and five bedroom homes. David adds: “The homes available have been designed to complement their historic setting and they offer something for everyone, from first time buyers to larger families. Help to Buy is also offered on all the properties at Saxon Heath, so I’d encourage those interested to speak to our sales team at the development to find out more.”

Prices start at £229,995 for the three bedroom Gosford. Through the Government backed scheme Help to Buy, purchasers only need to put down a 5% deposit making home ownership more affordable. Help to Buy includes a five year interest free Government loan of up to 20% of the property value allowing you the financial breathing space to move up the property ladder. Eligible purchasers, whether they are existing homeowners or first time buyers, would therefore have just a 75% loan-to-value mortgage.

Due to the high demand the award winning housebuilder has experienced, buyers looking to purchase a brand new home in this desirable location will need to move quickly to avoid disappointment.

Tarvin itself is a historic village situated in the picturesque Chester countryside. The village centre is a conservation area boasting many listed buildings; including the beautiful Grade I listed St Andrew’s Church.

As well as rural charm and a wealth of open green space, Tarvin also has a thriving local community, with a selection of village shops and pubs. For those who want a more lively night out, Tarvin is only six miles away from Chester, a city with a vibrant centre and wide selection of shopping areas, restaurants and bars.

For commuters, the development is just a short drive from major road networks including the A51, the M53, and A54 with access to the M6. Chester railway station is not far away, providing access to major UK cites.

For further information on Saxon Heath visit the development off Tarporley Road (postcode for your sat nav: CH3 8NE), the sales information centre is open Thursday to Monday 11am – 5.30pm. Alternatively visit taylorwimpey.co.uk/saxonheath.

Eligible purchasers only will have access to the government backed Help to Buy scheme, subject to terms and conditions.
