A brand new selection of two-bedroom homes has just been launched at Morris Homes’ Waterside Village development in St Helens.

The new homes are all available with Help to Buy, the Government’s initiative to get onto or move up the property ladder, and are ideal homes for first-time buyers.

Help to Buy is the Government scheme that makes homeownership a more affordable option for buyers. The buyer only needs a five per cent deposit, with a loan of a further 20 per cent of the value of the home provided by the Government, which is interest free for the first five years of the loan.

The scheme can help first-time buyers onto the property ladder sooner than they thought, and around half of Morris’ properties are currently being sold with the initiative.

Available for sale are the stylish Budworth and Beresford mews homes. To secure one of the properties with Help to Buy, buyers only need a deposit of £6,537 compared to the average first time buyer deposit of £26,956.

Chris Minshall, regional sales director for Morris, said: “Help to Buy has been a hugely popular initiative which is helping many first-time buyers own their own home.

“Waterside Village offers buyers a great location, close to the motorways yet in a peaceful spot next to a lake. The new two-bedroom homes that we’ve launched are ideal for first-time buyers and smaller families looking to get onto the property ladder.”

Two-bedroom homes are available to buy at Waterside Village priced from £130,750, or £104,600 with Help to Buy.
