Morris Homes is helping first-time buyers cut costs and settle quickly into their new home by giving an exclusive moving-in package to the first few buyers that snap up an apartment at its Sedgley development.

The company is committed to reducing moving costs for local first-time buyers. The first five buyers that purchase a stylish two-bedroom apartment at Morris’ Eden Fields site will receive a full set of kitchen appliances including a fridge freezer and washing machine, and an extensive furniture package that includes a TV, sofas, wardrobes, beds and essential appliances such as saucepans and cutlery.

Construction has started on the first luxury apartments at the site, and the properties will be ready for buyers to move into from Spring 2014. First-time buyers are being urged to reserve a home now, and by buying off plan they have the chance to personalise their home by choosing elements including the style of their kitchen and the colour of the bathroom tiles.

Buyers can also take advantage of the Government’s Help to Buy scheme to climb onto the property ladder at Eden Fields. With the initiative househunters can purchase an apartment with a five per cent deposit and a further 20 per cent is provided by the Government as an interest free loan, making homeownership at the site an affordable option.

Cindy Cade, regional sales director at Morris, said: “With so many other things to consider first-time buyers can often overlook the cost of buying furniture and fittings when they move into their new home. We’re offering a helping hand with five great moving-in packages to help buyers at Eden Fields cut moving costs and make their new apartment feel like a home straight away.

“We’re urging buyers to take advantage of the Help to Buy scheme to get onto the property ladder in Sedgley and with a set moving date the move becomes a stress-free process.”

Morris currently has a selection of two-bedroom apartments on sale at Eden Fields, which start at £130,750 or £104,600 with Help to Buy.
