Rush to buy homes at Bridgewater Park in Northwich

24th August 2013 Print

Homes are being snapped up at a landmark development in Northwich.

Morris Homes opened Bridgewater Park, on Winnington Avenue, at the end of April. Bridgewater Park is the first large-scale development to be built in Northwich for a decade and buyers have rushed to be the first to live in the new village.

Just 22 three and four-bedroom properties homes were made available by Morris in the first phase of the development. Due to the number of homes already sold off-plan to eager buyers the company is now releasing a further selection of homes at the site.

Buyers at Bridgewater Park have also been some of the first to benefit from Help to Buy, the Government’s initiative to help people onto the property ladder by providing 20 per cent of the value of the house as an interest free loan to use as a deposit.

Help to Buy is available on new homes for both first-time buyers and those who already own a home. Around half of those who have purchased homes from Morris at Bridgewater Park have used Help to Buy to help them get onto or move up the property ladder.

Chris Minshall, sales director for Morris Homes, said: “Bridgewater Park has proved incredibly popular among buyers seeking a new-build home in Northwich, and we’re already way ahead of schedule.

“Much of the success is due to the popularity of Help to Buy which is a fantastic scheme to help all types of buyers move into their dream home. We are urging everyone who visits the site to find out more about how Help to Buy might be able to assist them.

“We’re looking forward to launching our showhomes and welcoming our very first residents in September.”

Bridgewater Park is part of the Winnington Village development which will eventually have 1,200 homes as well as leisure and retail facilities.
