Househunters in Tamworth are being invited to the launch of local housebuilder Walton Homes’ latest housing scheme, Nethergate Court, at an exclusive open event this weekend.

The new development follows the sell-out of Walton Homes’ Millfields residential scheme, and when complete, will comprise just ten attractive homes made up of a spacious two bedroom coach house priced at £124,950, along with nine three bedroom semi-detached family homes, starting in price from £164,500.

The homes are being launched for sale at the open weekend, where househunters will be able to view the plans for the new houses for the first time. Specialist teams will also be on-hand to talk to potential purchasers about the Government’s equity loan scheme, Help to Buy, which is available on all the homes, as well as additional guidance and tips from legal advisors who will be present at the event.

Helen Rollason, sales manager at Walton Homes said: “We are delighted to be able to release the first new homes for sale at Nethergate court, which will be the fifth site we have launched this year, re-iterating our commitment to delivering high quality homes in the local area.

“Nethergate Court is also the first development where we have launched the Government’s Help to Buy scheme, which allows people to purchase a new home with a deposit of just five per cent. As we’ve already seen in the news, it really is making a huge difference to people’s lives, allowing first time buyers and young families to make that leap from renting to owning their own home.”

Under Help to Buy, a three bedroom semi-detached property at Nethergate Court will cost just £131,600 – 80 per cent of the £164,500 list price – along with an upfront deposit of £8,225. Under the scheme, the Government will lend up to 20 per cent of the value of the property through an equity loan. The purchaser will have to pay just 80 per cent of the cost of the property – made up of a 75 per cent mortgage and five per cent deposit – but will own 100 per cent of their home.

All the properties at Nethergate Court have been built with high-quality fixtures and fittings, including contemporary kitchens and modern bathrooms with Porcleanosa sanitary-ware and tiling. Additionally, all of the houses either benefit from allocated parking or a garage, along with landscaped front and rear turfed gardens as standard.

Helen added: “With just ten attractive homes being built at the development, we don’t anticipate that they will be on the market for very long. The interest we’ve had to date far outstrips what we have available so I would strongly advise anyone looking to secure their favourite plot at Nethergate Court to come along to our open weekend and experience the benefits of buying off plan. As well as being able to personalise their own home, those who make a reservation this weekend will also be able to get flooring included within the price of the house!”

Nethergate Court is situated in an ideal location close to local amenities – the development is just a ten minute walk into the centre of Tamworth – and benefits from its position close to the A5, which links the area to the A38 and the M42. Both Wilnecote and Tamworth train stations are also within easy walking distance.

Those wishing to see the plans for the new homes are directed to visit the Nethergate Court marketing suite, which is open from 11am to 5pm Thursday to Monday inclusive of the weekends. Alternatively, log onto waltonhomes.co.uk.
