As low interest rates and affordable mortgages fuel demand for new homes and the number of first time buyers reaches a five-year high, Redrow is holding a special event for would-be homeowners in North Manchester.

This Saturday (September 21) visitors to Woodville Gardens in Moston will be able to talk to friendly, experienced sales consultants and mortgage specialists about their housing needs. Customers will be given a step by step guide to buying a home and, in particular, learn how Help to Buy can make homeownership easier to afford with the aid of a 20% equity loan.

Claire Jarvis, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), says: “Our new homes in North Manchester have been hugely popular, particularly with first time buyers. In recent weeks and months we’ve seen an increase in enquiries from prospective purchasers who are keen to buy now while interest rates are historically low and mortgages at their most affordable in over a decade. On Saturday, new homes mortgage specialists will be on hand to review their finances and assess what they can afford to buy based on their income, outgoings and savings.

“This weekend will also mark the launch of our Heritage Collection of Arts & Crafts inspired homes in Moston. Traditional on the outside, bright and modern inside, they’re sure to be popular, especially when people realise that a two-bedroom property could be secured with a deposit of around £5,000 using Help to Buy.”

Between Woodville Gardens and Hanson Gardens, Redrow has a good choice of two, three and four-bedroom homes available in Moston.

Prices start from as little as £104,995 for a two-bedroom Evesham style home. The initial cost is reduced to just £83,996 with Help to Buy. The lower price includes a customer deposit of £5,250 and a £78,746 mortgage. The remaining 20% is covered by the equity loan, which is interest free for five years.

In no way limited to first time buyers, Help to Buy is available on all new Redrow homes in Moston, right up to the four-bedroom detached Windermere priced at £174,995.

Located in established residential neighbourhoods, with a strong community spirit and good local amenities, the homes offer an affordable alternative to living in Manchester city centre.

Excellent public transport has been boosted by new Metrolink stations at Central Park and Newton Heath and Monsall, with frequent services to the city.

New and refurbished community facilities in the area include the Manchester Communications Academy and Factory Youth Zone, North City Library and Harpurhey District Leisure Centre.
