Urban Rhythm is encouraging Leicester’s property hunters to secure a new home at the best price, by purchasing off-plan at the Wheatsheaf Works.

Urban Rhythm, owned by the Hazelton Group, has just launched the second phase of homes at its Knighton Fields development, formerly the site of the city’s iconic Wheatsheaf Works Boot and Shoe Factory.

Work on the new homes is now well underway at Quarter Two of the development, which will feature a collection of apartments and townhouses built within one of the site’s Grade II listed former factory buildings.

Wheatsheaf Works, once the world’s largest shoe factory, is currently undergoing a £13 million transformation and will become home to 172 high quality new homes.

Richard Hazelton, Commercial Director at The Hazelton Group, comments: “We have recently released our latest homes at Wheatsheaf Works and are inviting home buyers to come and find out more about purchasing one of our apartments or townhouses off-plan.

“There are many benefits to purchasing off-plan, as having first choice of available plots allows you to secure the exact property that meets your needs and tick off all of the must-have features on your ideal home wish list.

“Also, buying a property during the building stage offer the opportunity to ensure those all-important finishes match your tastes and help make your house your own.”

The new collection of homes includes a mix of two and three-bedroom townhouses and studio, one and two-bedroom apartments.

As the homes have been built within one of the former factory buildings, a number benefit from original features, including cast iron columns, exposed beams and brick work, and very large windows, which add a real sense of character.

The factory’s high ceilings have also been utilised to create attractive mezzanines within many of the apartments and townhouses.

Richard adds: “Our new homes are already capturing the attention of Leicester’s home buyers; we’ve had a huge amount of interest in our off-plan homes so far, with visitors commenting positively on the high quality, contemporary interiors and sought-after location.”

Homes at Wheatsheaf Works are available with the Government-backed Help to Buy scheme, which allows buyers to secure their home with a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage, backed up with a 20% equity loan.

Prices start from £109,950.

Find out more about purchasing an off-plan home and Help to Buy by visiting the show home, open from 10.30am to 5.30pm, Thursday to Monday. Alternatively, go to wheatsheafworks.com.
