The spacious new Garston homes bucking a national trend

With British homes reportedly shrinking, a brand new development in Garston is providing families with plenty of space at an affordable price.

Recent figures from the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) show that the average UK home is around half the size it was 90 years ago. However, at Lovell’s Church Fields venture, a collection of three-storey homes are offering flexible living space and style at an affordable price.

Added benefits such as a downstairs cloakroom, en-suite to the master bedroom and storage space give them the edge over many other homes on the market. But perhaps more surprising though is the value for money the homes demonstrate.

Just seven miles from the city centre, the ‘Hawkwood’ homes come with 1,019 sq ft of living space, three-bedrooms, an integral garage and well-sized gardens. According to the RIBA report they are nearly 100 sq ft larger than the average UK home, while being nearly £90,000 below the average national price.

Big enough for any medium-sized family, the largest three-bedroom mews design at Church Fields starts at just £154,995.

Lovell’s Anne-Marie O’Doherty, field sales manager in the North West, said: “Generously proportioned and contemporary, these practical homes offer enough high-specification accommodation for families to enjoy spending time together or spread out if they choose.

“With house prices continuing their upward trend, we are seeing strong levels of interest in our homes at Church Fields. We have just six homes remaining on the current phase and believe few homes in the city offer better value with this level of style and interior spec.”

The Government’s Help to Buy scheme has proved a major boost to customer’s buying power. Launched just six months ago, the initiative means that each of the properties at Church Fields could be bought with just a 5% deposit.

Purchasers could then enjoy access to up to a 20% loan from the Government, which is interest-free for five years. Seen by many in Liverpool as up and coming, Garston has benefitted hugely in recent years from the city’s continued regeneration.

With fantastic transport links and superb local amenities, the area is within easy reach of both the city centre and Liverpool Airport.

Residents at Church Fields have a fantastic choice of local schools, shops and restaurants and are just a short distance away from The New Mersey Shopping Park.

Home buyers can even view 360 degree tours of the show homes at Lovell’s website, lovellnewhomes.co.uk.
