Evidence of leading affordable housing provider Affinity Sutton’s focus on delivering premium private development schemes is demonstrated by its successful acquisition of yet another prime London site. By building high-end homes for outright sale, Affinity Sutton is expediting and expanding the delivery of its affordable housing.
90-92 Blackfriars Road in Southwark is currently the site of a four storey office, warehouse buildings and car parking; the new mixed-use, boutique-style development will comprise 643 sq metres of A1 retail space, 670 sq metres of B1 office space and a residential element of 53 homes in interconnecting buildings rising from five to eight storeys. Demand for the one, two and three bedroom apartments and duplexes in this increasingly up and coming area is expected to be high amongst young professionals and UK based investors. There will also be an opportunity to buy through shared ownership and homes for rent will also be provided. Work is expected to start in Spring 2014.
