Compendium Living is making home ownership an achievable aspiration for all home buyers in Derby by introducing the Government-backed Help to Buy scheme at its landmark Castleward development.

The equity loan scheme has just been launched at the £100 million development, allowing home buyers to secure one of the brand new two, three or four-bedroom homes using just a 5% deposit.

Help to Buy allows buyers to secure their choice of home with a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage, backed up with a 20% equity loan provided by the Government.

Lynn Korczak, Sales Adviser at Castleward, comments: “Help to Buy is designed to make people’s dreams of home ownership a reality and we want to give all home buyers the opportunity to be part of this brand new community by introducing the scheme at Castleward.

“The scheme allows home buyers to secure a low deposit mortgage and stagger the cost of buying a home, as they do not pay rent on the equity loan, plus it’s interest free for the first five years.

“The equity loan can be repaid at any time within 25 years or when the property is sold, making saving and purchasing a new home more affordable.

“Out of the eight reservations we have had so far at Castleward, one has already been made using Help to Buy and we expect more home buyers will follow suit.”

New homes at Castleward are currently available to reserve off-plan, with the first 10 reservations receiving an iPad upon completion.

Those wanting to find out more can take a virtual look inside the new homes thanks to the Castleward Mobile App, which can be downloaded from the Castleward website – castleward.co.uk – by visiting Lynn at Bagshaws Residential Estate Agents, on Cornmarket, or downloaded from the Apple Store.

All homes at Castleward benefit from high specification finishes, including a fully fitted kitchen with integrated cooking appliances.

Lynn comments: “Those who are interested in buying a home at Castleward should visit me at Bagshaws, so they can find out more about how Help to Buy works and why it might be the right scheme to get you onto the property ladder.

“Help to Buy is set to be the best scheme yet for assisting people with their dream of home ownership as it’s available to everyone, including first-time buyers and those moving up the property ladder, so it’s worth visiting us to find out how it might benefit you.”

Phase one of Castleward will feature 164 homes, new business premises, with well-designed open spaces and an attractive tree-lined boulevard, which will all form part of a new neighbourhood located between the city centre and Derby Midland Station.

Visit Lynn at Bagshaws Residential Estate Agents, on Cornmarket, from Monday to Saturday to find out more about purchasing a home at Castleward. Alternatively, go to castleward.co.uk.
