Jeep brings extra horsepower to Horse of the Year Show
Jeep is the official vehicle partner for the prestigious Horse of the Year Show at Birmingham’s LG Arena (formerly known as the NEC Arena) from the 7th October to the 11th October, 2009.
Horse of the Year Show is the UK’s largest indoor equestrian extravaganza and this year’s show promises to be another exceptional event not to be missed.
As Horse of the Year Show’s official vehicle partner, Jeep’s flagship model, the Grand Cherokee, will be used to transport international riders and VIPs to and from the show. In addition, the Jeep Patriot and Jeep Grand Cherokee will be on display in prominent places within the arena.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee is an impressive vehicle on-road as it is off-road. Its all-round ability combined with excellent towing capacity, make it the ideal car to meet the needs of those involved in equestrian events.
Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited’s 4x4 system, Quadra Trac II, is a permanent, active on-demand system that helps anticipate and prevent wheel slip before it occurs, making it ideal for road driving and towing. Models also feature the new Hill Descent Control system which offers even more downhill control in low-traction conditions. The Grand Cherokee Overland model offers trailer sway control as an optional extra. This system is an additional part of Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) that reduces trailer sway and provides improved trailer stability and increased towing safety.
Luxuriously appointed and highly equipped the Jeep Grand Cherokee price range starts from £27,100. The top-of-the-range Overland model features include leather upholstery, heated front and second row seats, state-of-the-art infotainment system, front and rear parking sensors all as standard.
Jeep’s Patriot models will particularly appeal to the younger generation of horse lovers. With prices starting from £16,200 the Patriot is highly equipped, offers excellent fuel economy of 42.2 mpg and is great value for money.
Standard safety features include front and side-curtain airbags, anti-lock brakes, Electronic Stability Programme with Electronic Roll Mitigation and ‘Freedom Drive 1™’, a full-time, active four-wheel drive system. The Jeep Patriot offers drivers a real advantage in every day driving conditions and feels at home on wet and icy tarmac as it does on mud, sand or snow.
Nigel Land, Marketing Director at Chrysler UK Ltd, said: “We are delighted to be the official vehicle partner for Horse of the Year Show 2009.
“Jeep has a strong presence within the rural and equine community and HOYS is the ideal platform to showcase the Jeep vehicle range to the equestrian market, a perfect target audience for the brand.”
