Dr Barbara Kubicka’s ClinicBe in West London offers a comprehensive range of non-invasive skin treatments, designed to tackle the signs of ageing and is continually extending the options available with new procedures.

The latest innovative addition to their range of treatments is the Silhouette Soft non-invasive facial rejuvenation procedure. This works by lifting the skin as well as promoting regeneration from within. This unique combination of actions works extremely effectively for patients who are starting to see the signs of ageing including skin laxity as well as wrinkles, which can appear from the age of 30 onwards.

Dr Barbara Kubicka MD explains:

“The non-surgical treatments industry tends to be associated with the popular injections used to treat lines and wrinkles. These are extremely effective and popular at trouble-shooting the common signs of ageing around the eyes, forehead and mouth for example. Sophisticated use of facial fillers and anti-ageing injections can deliver remarkable results in creating a more youthful look.”

“However, I have learned from detailed discussions with my clients that the often-overlooked issue of skin laxity is also a concern, but one that they simply don’t know how to address without drastic surgery.”

“The gradual ‘sagging’ of facial contours is a consequence of the depletion of collagen in the skin and also the loss of fat. Hollows can appear on the cheeks while skin can start to appear droopy and heavy around the chin and jawline. This is something that cannot be effectively addressed with injections and clients are naturally concerned about too much filler looking puffy or overdone.”

“The Silhouette Soft procedure addresses this perfectly with its unique combination of lifting and regeneration.”

Silhouette Soft works principally by using sutures fixed beneath the skin to physically lift it into a higher profile for an instantly more youthful look. The sutures are injected beneath the skin and fixed to tiny absorbable bidirectional Silhouette Soft cones, which are made of polylactic acid ( or PLA ) - a natural substance that has been used for many years in various pharmaceutical and medical applications such as suture thread. Once in place, the tissue is compressed and massaged to lift the skin, instantly creating a more youthful profile.

A vital added benefit of the procedure is that it stimulates collagen regeneration. This happens naturally over a period of time, so that the skin becomes progressively firmer and tighter.

Dr Barbara Kubicka MD continues:

“Patients tend to choose the Silhouette Soft primarily for the lifting action, which redefines facial structure. However, there are a series of additional benefits, including restored volume, reduction in lines and wrinkles and improvements to the flabbiness that can gather in the jawline/neck and also the eyebrow area.”

“This is all possible without surgery in a procedure that takes around an hour and requires minimal downtime or recovery.”

“Results last around 18 months, at which point the procedure can be repeated and adjusted as necessary to suit the patient’s needs and requirements and the impact of further ageing as well as any other treatments.”

clinicbe is conveniently situated on the border of Belgravia/Knightsbridge and is popular with those that live and work in the West London area, including Chelsea, Kensington and Mayfair although patients travel from across the UK and even overseas to visit Dr Kubicka.

The clinic offers a holistic approach to skincare treatments; treating the patient as a whole in order to get the best possible results from any treatments they may have, so that nutrition, hydration and lifestyle are considered as part of any treatment programme. Popular treatments include wrinkle-relaxing injections and facial fillers as well as specialising in mesotherapy and dermaroller. The progressive company also invest in the latest technology and in 2013 introduced I-Lipo for body shaping and toning as well as IPL laser for treating a range of skin conditions.
