Persimmon wins approval for 39 homes at Lingwood
An East Anglian house builder has welcomed the decision by Broadland District Council to grant permission for a new development of energy-efficient homes at Lingwood.
Persimmon Homes plans to build 39 homes on the site at Station Road, providing much-needed places to live for local people and families.
Andrew Fuller, managing director of Persimmon Homes Anglia, said: “The approval of our reserved matters planning application for this site will benefit the local community with much-needed housing and jobs.
“The site – which will be known as Clover Chase – will provide 39 homes, ranging in size from one to five bedrooms.
“As part of our commitment to deliver homes that meet the needs of local people, a third of the properties will be designated as affordable housing, with one specifically designed to be wheelchair accessible.”

Persimmon will also create a pedestrian access for residents, linking Homelea Crescent to the site of a new village hall, which is being developed by the Village Hall Committee.
Andrew Fuller added: “Clover Chase has been designed with sustainability and low running costs in mind. Ten per cent of the development’s energy will be provided by renewable or low-carbon sources and the properties will meet national standards of water efficiency.
“We are also including a drainage lagoon at the front of the site which will provide sustainable urban drainage.
