Barratt Homes North East is kicking off the World Cup with a selection of offers for buyers at developments around the region.

Anyone reserving one of its new homes from this weekend (14 June) can choose from a 42” television, £500 towards legal fees, white goods or fitted carpets.

But it may be wise to hurry...the housebuilder is only offering the incentives for as long as England remain in the tournament.

Sales Director Fenton Hewitt said: “It’s a fun offer which will be available at all of our developments while the team is still in the cup.

“But even if Steven Gerrard doesn’t lift the trophy in Brazil on 13 July, our buyers will still be winners. They can look forward to settling into a top-quality new home with an exclusive five year warranty on fixtures and fittings which lasts until 2019 – long after the next World Cup in Russia.”

One of the participating developments is Burton Woods at Spennymoor, where Barratt has a selection of family homes which are ready to move into. Buyers could take advantage of the housebuilder’s 7-day part exchange service or purchase with a five per cent deposit through the Government’s Help to Buy scheme.

They include the distinctive three-bedroom ‘Eskdale’ design, priced from £166,500, which has a spacious, dual-aspect living room, separate dining room and fully-fitted kitchen.

There is also a four-bedroom detached house, the ‘Guisborough’, priced from £228,995. At its heart is a light and spacious dining kitchen with family area, ideal for relaxing, and French windows leading out into the rear garden.

“Both are superb family homes and with our 7-day part exchange service buyers could be moving in a matter of weeks,” said Fenton. “They can side-step most of the hassle and cost usually associated with selling and receive fair market value for their old property.”

Burton Woods is in a lovely setting on Whitworth Road, with a sweeping private entrance road, open spaces and an adjacent wildlife “bio-park”, yet with plenty of amenities nearby.
