Volkswagen attracts coffee aroma

A West Yorkshire-based coffee roaster has strengthened its links with a Cleckheaton business after converting its national service fleet to Volkswagen vans.

Bewley’s Coffee Ltd based in Meltham, has worked with Volkswagen Van Centre West Yorkshire for more than eight years and has now taken the decision to purchase and run its entire fleet from the retailer following the purchase of an additional two Caddy vehicles.

The coffee specialist roasts and sells premium coffee under the Grumpy Mule brand both online and through a network of more than 200 independent retailers as well as supplying coffee machines and equipment to the food service industry nationwide.

The Volkswagen Caddy vans are the latest addition to its fleet of 15 which provides a service maintenance contract and delivery service to its trade customers.

Bewley’s service manager, Bob Drake, confirmed that business growth and first class service has resulted in the business opting for an entire Volkswagen fleet.

He said: “We use Transporter vans for our service fleet as we have found them to be solid reliable vehicles capable of high mileage with a large capacity to carry new equipment for installations.

“As the business has been developing and demand for our services growing we needed to replace and expand our London based fleet. Without hesitation we looked at the Volkswagen Caddy. Its compact shape made it perfect for the congested London streets.

“The local Cleckheaton business has always provided us with a thorough and competitive service so when we were looking at expanding our fleet we knew the Volkswagen team would meet our needs.

“In addition we benefit from the network of specialist Volkswagen van centres to service our nationwide fleet.”
