Monarch to keep customers ‘in the know’ whilst they are on the go

23rd July 2014 Print

Monarch, the scheduled airline to leisure destinations, has announced the launch of an email and SMS update service for customers and their families to keep them up-to-date with any changes to the departure and arrival times of their Monarch flights.

Each real-time update provides Monarch customers with departure and arrival times for their Monarch flights and sends them an email or SMS in the event of any change.  In addition, family and friends will also be able to subscribe to the updates to ensure airport pick-ups and drop offs are on time.  Monarch customers will be able to enter the email address of a family or friend during the booking process, or subscribe to any flight themselves by providing a valid email address to receive the updates.  This service was developed following customer feedback and is free of charge.

Earlier this week Monarch Airlines was voted the fifth best leisure airline in the World Airline Awards. The awards are based on feedback from nearly 19 million passengers from 160 cities and include reviews of over 200 airlines, making it the world’s largest airline passenger satisfaction survey.

This latest initiative airline adds to the experience that Monarch delivers and ensures that customers are informed throughout their journey.

Tim Williamson, Director of Customer Experience & Marketing for Monarch Airlines comments:  “The new SMS and email update service showcases our on-going commitment as an airline to offer outstanding customer service; we want our customers’ journeys  - from the initial booking stage to the actual flight  - to be as smooth and stress-free as possible. This enables our customers to be as informed as possible when it comes to flight timings; it also allows family and friends to check the status of a flight on-the-go.”
