Happy Hull residents benefit from larger homes

A new luxury development in Kingswood Park, Hull could be one of the ‘happiest’ places to live in the UK, according to a new survey.

Hull came seventh in the latest Happy at Home index after residents were asked to rate their local area on 12 distinct factors. Nearly 50,000 people responded to Rightmove’s survey, which combined the results to give an overall happiness score for more than 100 places across the country.

Harrogate topped the poll and Inverness came second, with all the locations being rated on such things as property value, wellbeing, amenities, safety and contentment.

The results have been welcoming news for housebuilder, Charles Church, who has begun work on its latest development in the growing Kingswood Parks community.

Kevin Thubron, sales director for Charles Church Yorkshire, said: “We have successfully been building homes in the Kingswood district since 2010. During this time we have found visitors, and ultimately our customers, to be very friendly which has in turn created a community feel within our developments.

“This has been further endorsed by the number of customers who have benefited from our ‘recommend a friend’ scheme as they choose to build their own neighbourhood.

“We feel the Parklands development will bring even more of a smile to the faces of prospective customers – for instance, the floor plan of our new four bedroom homes offers buyers an extra 317 square feet of living space.

“This increased footprint is in direct response to customer feedback.”

The Parklands will feature a collection of newly designed three, four and five bedroom homes which not only offer superior interior specification but will externally look completely different to previously Charles Church homes in the area.

“Each of the properties will be built in stone instead of our traditional brick,” added Kevin.

“We wanted the new Charles Church house designs to be distinctively different and felt the textured stone provided an aesthetically pleasing appearance which was more fitting for the spacious lifestyle we are offering.

“We hope that customers will be as happy with our new house designs as we are and we are inviting potential buyers to register their interest so they don’t miss out on the latest developments at the Parklands.”
