Three Seat Cupra races to run at Snetterton

SEAT Sport UK is pleased to announce that Round 10 of the 2008 SEAT Cupra Championship, previously scheduled to run at Croft (Sunday 1st June), will now be held at Snetterton on Sunday 13th July. With the scheduled Rounds 11 and 12 also taking place, it will be the first time in the six year history of the series that three SEAT Cupra Championship races will run on the same day, mirroring the format of the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship.

Round 10 was postponed after appalling weather conditions delayed the race day timetable at Croft. Since then, SEAT Sport UK has been working with competitors to establish the best way forward, and the majority decision was that the lost race should be held as soon as possible, preferably at the Norfolk circuit. In conjunction with TOCA, SEAT Sport UK has arranged for this to happen, the result being what promises to be an action packed day of SEAT racing, with three races being held on the same day.

Jeremy Doncaster, SEAT Cupra Championship Co-ordinator: "There were several hurdles to get over, but rescheduling the race will be best for the SEAT Cupra Championship. As another series is racing on the Saturday, having also succumbed to the torrential rain at Croft, we've been fortunate enough to actually get three races in one day, thanks to the flexibility of the TOCA organisers. The SEAT Cupra Championship is all about making the next step up into touring cars, so our competitors are going to experience first hand what it's like to race three times on a Sunday. The third race should be broadcast live on ITV4, so all in all we couldn't ask for a better outcome."

Under the new Snetterton timetable, Round 11 of the SEAT Cupra Championship will start at 09:00, Round 12 at 11:55 and Round 10, the rescheduled race, at 16:55.
