Seat set for starring roles on TV

First up, at 10:00 pm on entertainment channel LIVING, comes the stylish new docu-soap Ibiza. This fly-on-the-wall series of hour-long episodes, airing over nine weeks, focuses on a disparate group of chic White Isle residents, following the lives of characters as diverse as a podium dancer, mum and daughter team running a Botox clinic, and an up-and-coming club DJ.
The show is also set to lift the lid on the glamorous party scene in Ibiza, featuring the ultra-cool event attendees as well as the wannabe star ‘PRs’ who work to make their club nights the hottest in town.
The series is sponsored, naturally enough, by the new SEAT Ibiza. It will feature Ibiza branding and so-called “bumpers” at either end of the advert breaks in the one-hour shows.
Meanwhile, over on ITV1 in the Central region at 10:30 pm on the same night, SEAT’s ice cool Leon Cupra K1 is put under the microscope in the new series of popular motoring show Pulling Power.
Presented by, among others, well-known auto industry journalist Mike Brewer, the half hour programmes are set to feature the latest new models with SEAT’s spicy K1 hot hatch getting proceedings off to a flying start in the first of the brand new series.
The £20,505 RRP special edition K1 boasts impressive additions to the Leon’s already lithe lines to give the 240 PS, turbocharged 2.0-litre model even more of the look of the race-winning SEAT Sport BTCC car.
Boasting a bespoke K¹ boot badge, the car’s comprehensive styling additions include extensively re-worked front and rear bumpers, smart side skirts, a more pronounced tailgate spoiler and unique chrome-tipped, centrally-mounted, oval exhaust.
SEAT UK’s National Communications Manager, Rob Taylor, said of the Ibiza show sponsorship: ‘The opportunity to be so prominently associated with the Ibiza series could not have come at a better time for us.
‘Ibiza 5dr debuts officially in SEAT showrooms on Wednesday 16th July and, with a healthy order bank already in place, I’m sure the extra exposure generated by this series will only reinforce the ‘buzz’ around our new car.’
