Fairview to host first-time buyer weekend at Pulse

First-time buyers can find out more about how they can get their feet on the property ladder at Fairview New Homes’ impressive Pulse development in Colindale by coming along to a special open event this weekend (Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st September).
People who are looking to secure their first home can come along to drop-in sessions to speak to the sales team and independent financial advisors about mortgages and the government’s Help to Buy scheme, which is available on selected properties at Pulse.
Almost 30,000 homes have been purchased nationwide using Help to Buy since the scheme was launched in April 2013. Help to Buy allows buyers to purchase a brand new home with just a 5% deposit and a 75% mortgage. The remaining 20% is covered by an equity loan from the government, which is interest free for the first five years.
Sales and Marketing Director for Fairview, Jim Holliday, said: “Pulse is proving very popular with first-time buyers, many of who look to take advantage of the Help to Buy scheme. Our first-time buyer weekend will be extremely helpful for those who want to take their first steps onto the property ladder.
“Help to Buy is ideal for first-time buyers, because it means they don’t need to save up such a large deposit to buy a home of their own.
“We hope first-time buyers will take the opportunity to come and visit us this weekend to ask any questions and find out more so they have all of the information they need to make an informed choice when buying their first home.”
Pulse is a development of more than 900 one to three-bedroom apartments which is located next to Colindale tube station. The long-awaited first properties in block P of the development were released last month. Prices start at £278,000, which would require a deposit of £13,900 with Help to Buy.
