Lloyds Bank customers get an iPad when they move home

Lloyds Bank has announced its latest offer which gives first time buyers and homemovers an iPad to help keep them connected when they move into their new house.

By partnering with Connected World Services and Carphone Warehouse, Lloyds Bank mortgage customers that apply between 7th October and 27th November 2014 will receive an iPad mini 4G. This will be delivered to their home address within days of mortgage completion, so they can be online as soon as they are in their new home.

Setting up an internet connection in a new home can take up to six weeks, and in today’s digital world, time without the internet can make moving into a new home more difficult.

By providing a 16GB iPad mini 4G, a 6GB data card and six months’ 24/7 technical support from the Geek Squad, Lloyds Bank and Connected World Services are helping to keep customers connected when they need it most, so that they can smoothly move into their new house with the minimum of fuss.

Marc Page, Mortgages Director at Lloyds Bank, said: "Our customers have told us about the inconvenience of being unconnected when moving into a new house.

“By providing customers with a connected iPad, we’re enabling them to complete those domestic necessities very quickly, such as setting up bills, transferring money or simply surfing the internet. This should make the transition of moving into a new house even more enjoyable.”

John Hunter, Managing Director (Services & Support), Connected World Services part of the Dixons Carphone Group said: “Connectivity is a near-essential utility nowadays with so much of people's' daily lives dependent on internet access. With all the disruption that moving home can entail, it will be a real help for home movers to have one less thing to worry about. On top of this, having a team of tech experts available to advise on anything from setting up the television to problems with a laptop will be a big support in getting everything up and running in the new home as soon as possible.”
