First-ever Volvo trucks ‘cut the mustard’ for Coleman & Co

Four of the 380bhp trucks have the specification of the Thompson Loadmaster steel tipper bodies with electric sheeting systems, the fifth being supplied with Hyvalift 26-56-S hookloading equipment . All the vehicles have Day cabs in ‘Comfort’ trim, including electronic climate control. Also included for added safety are reverse cameras with dashboard-mounted pop-up colour monitors.
"We chose Volvo based on the specification of the trucks, with high ground clearance and overall quality, combined with the service we receive from Hartshorne Motor Services," explained Malcolm Hurst, Coleman & Company’s Plant & Transport Manager.
"Truck Sales Executive Jason Naylor has been very helpful throughout the whole process of specifiying the trucks and we were impressed with Hartshornes forethought in arranging for a Driver Development Trainer to assist us for a week, which will enable a smooth transition in the use of the vehicles," he added.
The trucks, for use at quarry, demolition, recycling and bulk earthmoving sites, are on a two-year service and maintenance contract with the Pensnett depot of Hartshorne Motor Services.
