Volvo Trucks to show off all new product range at CV show

Volvo Trucks’ main stand (Hall 5 – stand 118) will host the first public showing of Europe’s most powerful production truck - the new 660bhp Volvo FH16 – launched on February 1st. In addition the stand will feature to the UK show debut of the new generation 13-litre FH and FM vehicles, launched last autumn.
Visitors to the stand will be able to see the 550hp, 6x2 version of the FH16 featuring a Globetrotter XL cab in ‘Prestige’ trim with full leather interior, automated 12-speed I-Shift gearbox, Volvo’s Dynafleet Online package, reversing camera and EBS braking system as the leading exhibit.
The 480hp FH on show will be a 6x2 with Globetrotter XL cab, ‘Comfort’ trim and external air kit, Dynafleet Online, I-Shift, ESP, SCR and Volvo’s new Euro 5-compliant engine, while the 400hp, 4x2 FM is of similar specification, but with a Globetrotter cab and a Euro 4-compliant engine.
Also on the stand will be static displays of the new D13 engine, I-Shift gearbox and SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology, demonstrations of TIS’s Dynafleet products and a hospitality area.
Volvo’s Selected Used Trucks stand (Hall 5 – stand 021) will be used to launch a new Selected Used Truck programme and two Used trucks will be on display, demonstrating the long term reliability and good residual values of Volvo trucks.
The Volvo Parts, Service and Roadcrew stand (Hall 5 – stand 022) will have details of Volvo's latest promotions and offers with staff on hand to answer any questions that visitors may have.
Finally, outside the entrance to the Show, will be a Volvo Ocean Race-themed external exhibit with a Volvo FH16 660hp as the centrepiece. This vehicle will be in ‘Pirates of the Carribean 2’ livery similar to that of the Volvo Ocean Race entrant, ‘The Black Pearl’, and forms part of a unique film marketing deal between Volvo and the Walt Disney Company.
