Ever wondered how the rich and famous transport their cars to their holiday homes in Spain? Well, look no further than Anchor Vehicle Logistics. Specialising in transporting cars to Spain, they are a car transportation company with a difference, carrying some of the world’s most prestigious cars to destinations on the Costa del Sol and throughout Europe.

Offering an unprecedented and personal service to a host of high profile clients and world of TV, Anchor Vehicle Logistics have continued to expand. Currently with a fleet of 7 vehicles, Anchor has been in the market for a truck that would not only be reliable, comfortable and economical, but they also required a marque that would help maintain both their professional image and excellent customer service record.

"Transporting performance cars like Ferrari, Lamborghini and Bentley, our clients expect their vehicles to arrive in style," explained Managing Director, Gary Garden. "We needed a truck that would live up to our customers’ high expectations, as well as our own."

After testing the market, Volvo was the only truck that Anchor would consider. "On first impressions I thought the Volvo portrayed the right image for the company," Gary stated, before adding, "the vehicle was also very comfortable to drive…which is vital as our drivers travel to Spain on a regular basis."

Anchor Vehicle Logistics purchased the 13-litre FH-480 model, which is plated for 44 tonne GCW, 480 bhp, fitted with the I-shift Gearbox and was specified with XL Cab with ‘Prestige’ trim.

The vehicle was also ordered with a number of extras on the unit to make it stand out from its competitors. It boasts interior comforts, including a plush interior, heated leather seats and a fridge in an under-bunk draw. The vehicle’s exterior is also just as eye-catching, painted in a vibrant metallic blue. It also displays three additional roof lights, a ‘Kelsa’ Hi bar with six spots, air horns and colour-coded chassis side skirts.

Fitted with a six-car, fully enclosed trailer on the vehicle allows the company to offer a secure and reliable service to a number of locations in Spain, such as Marbella, and Malaga, plus the Algarve in Portugal.

Anchor Vehicle Logistics new vehicle was purchased from Darren Newton of Thomas Hardie Commercials in Middlewich. Gary enthused, "We have been very pleased with the sales staff at Thomas Hardie, so much so I have just ordered another unit which is due for delivery in September."
