Ranked as one of the top 10 cities to raise a family, it’s no surprise that new homes in Leicester are in high demand.

The Family Hotspots Report 2014 from Family Investments judged the biggest cities in England and Wales based on education, safety, amenities, childcare, population and properties. After assessing more than 70 sets of data Leicester’s high score made it one of the most desirable places to live.

These factors, plus the high quality of the homes, have already ensured one Leicester development is popular with families; Redrow’s Nightingale Gardens development has clocked up an impressive sales rate with many properties snapped up as soon as they’re released for sale.

Tonia Tyler, sales director for Redrow Homes (South Midlands), says: “We appreciate that location is a key factor when looking for a new home and the report from Family Investments echoes our own research and comments from visitors to Nightingale Gardens – Leicester is a great place to settle down and raise a family.

“Many of those who’ve already bought here have children and we continue to receive enquiries from buyers who want to move here with their family. Part of the appeal is that the area’s well served by educational establishments from pre-school to university, plus there are lots of clubs and sporting activities for young people to get involved in.”?
Featuring a choice of three, four and five-bedroom properties, Nightingale Gardens has a good choice of family friendly homes. Current prices start from £203,950 for a three-bedroom Brecon.

Among the homes currently available is the four-bedroom detached Oxford, priced at £269,950. Externally it looks very traditional thanks to feature bay windows and roofed porch. Inside however, it’s bright and modern with an open plan kitchen and dining room at its heart.

The kitchen enjoys integrated top brand name appliances, plus tall cabinets and extra wide drawers that offer plenty of storage and come with soft close fittings to stop little fingers getting trapped. There’s also an inviting lounge and handy utility.

To minimise the morning rush for the family bathroom there’s an en-suite to master bedroom and a ground floor cloakroom.
