F J Need purchase their 1st Volvo

F J Need (Foods) have taken delivery of their first-ever Volvo truck - an FH Globetrotter Cheshire-based, FJ Need (Foods) Limited has a new addition to their fleet – their first-ever Volvo truck – which was delivered at the end of October.

After operating another marque for over 10 years, Managing Director Paul Need decided to try Volvo. He commented that, “I have always liked Volvo and thought it was about time I gave them a chance to prove themselves.”

“Owning and operating our own fleet of vehicles allows us total control over distributing our goods.” Paul added. “We therefore rely heavily on our trucks.”

Paul selected a 520hp Volvo FH Globetrotter to become the company’s first Volvo truck. The 6x2 artic was specified with an XL cab in ‘Prestige’ trim, trailer detection equipment, electric windows, electronic climate control, a 22-litre fridge and heated seats for increased driver comfort.

Continuing the company’s distinct colour scheme the vehicle is also painted in lime green, matching F J Need’s other vehicles in their fleet.

The vehicle will be serviced and maintained at Thomas Hardie Commercials in Middlewich, where it was purchased from Area Sales Manager, Mark Lingard

Paul said, “So far I have been impressed with Thomas Hardie. Their sales team are proactive and especially like the idea of their 24 hour collection and delivery service.”

Known primarily for the provision of grated and diced cheese for the pizza and the catering industry, FJ Need (Foods) are responsible for distributing their own goods across the UK. The company has gown quite a reputation for their efficient distribution service and have set an unrivalled precedence in the industry for delivering on time, every time. Their new vehicle can be seen up and down the country as it visits a host of distribution centres all over the UK and Belgium from their base in Nantwich.
